Meet Daniella Mohazab, AMFT

With a multiple degrees from USC and a Masters in Counseling from Pepperdine University, Daniella specializes in helping clients facing big life challenges. Her experience has included supporting people with cancer and their families. In that work, Daniella found that her clients were mostly talking about relationships, goals, dreams, grief, and everything in between.

Daniella also has additional training in sex therapy and enjoys supporting everyone, but especially queer BIPOC clients, through issues related to intimacy. Daniella takes a direct, narrative approach to her work to make sure every client feels supported and understood.

Daniella is excited to help you work toward greater emotional balance and well-being, no matter where you are in your journey.

Introducing Daniella Mohazab, AMFT, EMDR therapist offering, LGBT therapy, couples therapy, and holistic therapy for teens and adults in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

  • I believe that healing occurs within healthy relationships, and that starts in the therapy room. I bring my authentic self into every session so that you can bring your authentic self into the world.

I am a narrative therapist and believe in meeting you where you are on any given day. I believe in empowering you to explore and rewrite your story at your own pace. It’s important to me that we focus on the goals that matter most to you.

I’m passionate about therapy’s potential for profound, long-lasting healing. I take a holistic approach to your wellness. You are more than your symptoms and hardships. Integrating your experiences and feeling stronger is possible.

  • After receiving multiple degrees at USC, I earned a Masters degree from Pepperdine University in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. For my practicum, I worked with cancer patients and their loved ones. I found that the work there was about everything under the sun; cancer has a way of bringing to the surface many things that we’re otherwise able to keep buried. It was fulfilling work that held personal meaning for me, having lost my mother to cancer.

As a pre-licensed therapist, my work is clinically supervised by Laurel Roberts-Meese, LMFT. That means she and I regularly talk about the people I am working with and share ideas about the best way to help you achieve your goals. Think of it as getting two therapists instead of one!

Daniella’s Take On Therapy

I help clients heal from trauma, recover from burnout, and strengthen their relationships. As a Filipino therapist, I bring cultural sensitivity and an inclusive lens to my work, creating space for people of all backgrounds to feel seen and supported.

As an EMDR therapist, I’ve had the privilege of helping clients finally release the weight of past trauma and reclaim their sense of peace. I also offer EMDR for teens, supporting young people in processing painful experiences early so they can move forward with resilience.

I work with many clients who are struggling with burnout: high achievers who are exhausted from carrying too much for too long. I guide clients through the challenging process of slowing down, listening to what their minds and bodies are telling them, and creating healthier rhythms. Burnout therapy with me focuses not just on recovery, but on building sustainable practices that protect your career longevity and life satisfaction.

I also provide Gottman Method Couples Therapy, supporting partners who want to reduce conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen their bond. Couples often come to me feeling stuck in the same arguments or disconnected from each other, and together we work toward new patterns that allow love and connection to flourish.

My style is affirming and inclusive. As a queer therapist, I provide LGBT therapy for clients who want a space where their identities and relationships are respected and celebrated. I integrate holistic therapy into my work, tailoring sessions to each person’s needs and preferences.

Clients often describe me as warm and steady; someone who can sit with difficult emotions without judgment while offering tools that help create real change.

Whether you’re looking for an anxiety therapist or trauma therapist in San Francisco or Los Angeles, my goal is to provide a healing relationship that helps you feel less alone, more empowered, and ready to move forward.

Get to know Daniella

Before I was a therapist... I worked in tech and got a Master’s in marketing. But I always knew I wanted to do something more connected to people and their stories. That led me to go back to school for clinical psychology and eventually become a therapist. Big switch, zero regrets.

What I love about being a therapist is watching people grow, heal, and figure themselves out. It’s incredibly rewarding. I feel lucky to do work that’s real and meaningful every day.

I'm really interested in values, sex therapy, queer mental health, cross-cultural identities, and helping people navigate relationships, especially when it comes to identity, communication, and connection. I love working with anyone trying to better understand themselves and their patterns.

In my free time you’ll find me discovering a new coffee shop, striking a mountain pose in yoga, planning my next weekend adventure, cuddling up with my dog Beau, or sewing a new skirt. I love deep conversations and making my home feel like a cozy, creative little sanctuary.
