Meet Coriann Papazian, LMFT

In our initial meetings, we will take the time to build a connection and understand each other better, ensuring that we are compatible as therapist and client. Together, we'll establish meaningful objectives for our collaborative journey. As we move forward, I will check in with you to ensure your thoughts and concerns are heard, and that we are addressing the issues that matter most to you in a constructive and secure manner. Please know that I encourage questions, as my goal is to make therapy an approachable and transparent experience for everyone I work with.

I greatly value collaborative and strengths-based approaches, striving to work together to reach your goals. I work from a wide range of therapeutic lenses, including LGBTQ+ couples. Narrative, Solution-focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment, and trauma-focused therapies. I completed an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Therapy Training program. I'm trained Gottman Method Couples Therapy. As a Gottman therapist, I especially love working with LGBTQ+ couples.

I earned a Masters degree from Chapman University in 2017, and I hold a certificate of proficiency in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I'm also trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy approach, which focuses on improving communication, reducing conflict, and creating shared meaning. I have a real passion for helping couples.
I have worked in a variety of settings and have experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in clinical, residential, and non-profit settings.

Get to know Coriann
Before I was a therapist I spent a good deal of my time traveling to various countries, trying new cuisine, and playing basketball and hockey.
What I love about being a therapist is hearing from a diverse range of people and having the privilege to get to know their unique experiences in life. I feel honored every day to know people on a deeper level.
I'm really interested in games, puzzles, finding new podcasts, and high tops. I love a good shoe.
In my free time I love to go camping, spend time with friends, and play with my two adorable dogs.
